- If you are building a new home you are in a perfect position
to plan exactly how you will insulate it to the max! Of course,
if you're new home is built with 2x4's, your regular insulation
will be R12 batts, but you can upgrade the job with R13 or even
R14, which are designed to fit in the same depth of wall. If
you are building with 2x6 wood studs, we recommend R22
batts.
- Upgrading can potentially save you money on the energy side
as well as offering more sound absorption.
- If you decide to use higher r-value products instead of standard r-values, call your dealer in advance so that he can order them for you.
